LAUREN is a patient-centered clinical application designed to help women manage their health from pregnancy and beyond the womb. It uses patient generated health information and limited medical record data to help hypertensive women, and those at risk for hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, to manage their care plan from the convenience of their phone. The application works as an AI enabled clinical support that produces health equity mini prompts to help clinicians address, document and monitor possible equity concerns in real time.

Heart disease is still the leading cause of death for black women. In addition, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy are the leading cause of maternal mortality. With our application, members will be able to manage their hypertensive related health conditions during and beyond pregnancy. Our goal is to have member’s health insights shared with their clinical team in order to receive more comprehensive and culturally appropriate care.
